Be Productions, Kids Unlimited, B. Boppin Talent agency scout for kids scam

I was first approached by a "talent scout" at the Del Mar Fair last summer. Being that my daughter had been aproched before by other talent agencies, I did not find this too unusual. We showed up at the"screen test" given by Be Productions. Then they were located off of Mira Mesa Blvd.in San Diego. The place were it was held was an office building adorned with pictures of Hana Montana and other child actors. Ir looked like they had rented the office the day before, and were ready to leave the day after. They had each kid read some lines in front of a TV monitor. Then they take you and your child back to be interviewed. As they push your child into thinking they are the next biggest thing to hit Hollywood, they sink their teeth into the parents by hitting them up for about $3,000 -$5,000. Its easy to walk away when that amount of money is totally out of the question. However, this leaves the child gravely disappointed, and you as a parrent guilty for not realizing this was a total scam to begin with.

Again, while Christmas shopping with my daughter, I was approached by the very same "scout" at the Carlsbad Mall. She obviosly did not remember us from last time. Only this time the scout had a differnt name, telephone#, and address.

Please beware!!! These people say things to you in front of your kids like "Don't you want to see your child live their dream" and to your child "Tell your mom and dad this is something you really want". They are good at being scam artists.
