Juanita Moore
Told me Bankruptcy filing was complete, it was never filed at all! Cashed check for $375

Shops, Products, Services

I used Juanita Moore for a chapter 7 Bankruptcy filing in 2002. She cashed my check for $375 on 6/7/02. She told me it was complete and I should receive my discharge in the mail.

After some time, I still hadn't received my discharge so I contacted Juanita again. She re-assured me that everything was fine and that I will receive my dishcarge. I contacted Juanita again when there was still no dishcarge and she said she would have to check in to it.

She never returned calls and now I can't even track her down. I don't know if she was with a law firm or independent. I always met with her at her house.

Needless to say, I've been living my life for nearly 6 years thinking I'm about to recover from this bankruptcy and today when I called the US Bankruptcy Courts in Phoenix to obtain information I find out that my bankruptcy never happened. No records whatsoever! I pulled my credit report to find everything is far worse than it was before.

I feel like this woman's incompetence has literally destroyed my credit far beyond a bankruptcy and is affecting the livelihood of myself and my child.

What do I do now? Is there any resolution that can be obtained here?
