Did not get paid for my Vacation time

When signing up with this company I asked if they pay for holiday and vacation pay. The reason for asking was cause the other temp company did not tell me that the hours I earned would roll over to zero at the end of the year and I would not get paid. She said yes you do get paid for those after so many hours.

When the time came to get paid for a holiday they did not. I called and they said the would send a check. When geting the check it was not by my hourly pay. I called and asked and they then said you don't get paid by your hourly wages but a bonus of 40 dollars before taxes. Neadless to say I was upset.

That came and went. When the time came for my vacation pay I called and they said you would get it in Dec. I said you said I would get paid when I reached my hours. No, when you signed the paper work it says you will get paid in Dec.

Ok, still mad what can you do. So I said you will pay in Dec. She said yes. My contract ended in Aug. They called and offered me a job and it was not close to my salary so I told them and they said ok, we will keep looking for you. Mean while I went on unemployment so that I could survive and to look for work else where also.

Dec. Come and I call to see when they are going to get a check to me. They said they would get a hold of pay roll, and I should here from them in a couple of days. The days came and went. I called back and they said that the person was out to lunch but they would get back to me that day.

Again came and went. I had to go near there office to turn in my resume at another company for a job. So I stoped in and checked on my check. They then said that I had to be working for them through the end of Dec. To get my check or be active with them. I said that is not what you said at the signing of my contract.

I said you told me I would get paid in Dec. You did not say anything about still working for you through the year or being active. I said to them you did not call me but only once in that time frame. They said I turned down the job offer cause it did not pay what I was asking.

At this time I was really mad and said some things I should not have said. I then left. Now that I have cooled off I just don't see how they think I was not active with them still. They never called after the first turn down.

This really does not matter cause they lied to me when I signed up with them. I asked them and they said this and now they are doing something else. I just need what is coming to me. They said they would and now they are not.
