After 6 months, the bill is still wrong

Back in May my wife got a job taking orders from home for a large mail order business. They told her during orientation that our xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx was not compatible and after 12 years of great service I was forced into changing to Verizon for phone, Cable and Internet.

I was at the Citrus Park Mall in Tampa and came upon the new FiOS service booth. My wife and I were told that installation is free, the cable modem/wireless router was free and that the HD DVR was $5.00 off for 3 months. The normal monthly bill was $99.99 Tax, and we were informed that because we were coming on that there would be a pro-rated charge for the time included in the first bill. I knew to expect a bill in the $200 range.

It was over $500, they charged for the modem/router, did not discount the DVR, charged for installation and of course taxed me on the entire deal. After calling the customer service/billing people I was told I would get a credit for the modem/router, the DVR and part of the install. Turning on the already installed phone jack was $95.00 and not included. After explaining and being treated like an idiot by the supervisor. I was told that installing a phone jack is not installing equipment so that charge stands.

In the mean time I got three different people at the mall to go up and sign up with my name. Three $100 credits supposed to be coming my way. Verizon has this record. Well it took until September and three more calls to the billing people and conversations with the guys at the FiOS shack to see some of the credits finally appear. They also threatened to turn off my service each month too. Each time I was guaranteed by a different supervisor that those credits would come.

Now on to the refer a friend credit, they have changed the policy on how they issue the credits within the last month or two, well after the June submission of my referrals.

Now I'm supposed to go onto a web site, and submit these people again. This was after I was guaranteed that these credits would be issued.

Then today I called because my bill was over $500 again, with only $149 in new charges including taxes. They threatened to cut off service again. My wife need the service for work, and if we don't have it she can't work.

They put in a dispute on the phone jack install finally, not a guarantee of any kind.

You never get the same supervisor, or the same representative for that matter.
