Fraud business

To whom this may concern,
I too like so many others have been taken by this company. I was first approched to buy magazines by them in the mail.

Well, I kept throwing that away. I think received calls, at that time I did not have Caller ID, so I did not know who it was until I answered the phone. Well, they were very pushy salerepresentatives and not all that nice may I add, needless to say I signed up to receive magazines with the magazine subscription I was to receive a free watch.

Guess what, yep that is right, I never did receive it. The magazines were late, so I called and they assured me the they would be there any day, (2 months later.) I had called them and told them to cancel my subscription because they were so late and I did not want them anyway, but they would not do it and kept charging me anyway. I took my cc card and cancelled it.

Then they began to send me letters wanting payment. The letters contained no amount due, a false 1800 number (1-800-225-7356) this number when dialed only rings. Then the letter proceeds to ask for a voided check, ha I am not going to give them my account number.

I do not know what else to do. I do not want to get sent to the collection angency, but on the other hand I do not want to pay for something that I did not want in the first place, received late (some not at all) and being rude and overpriced at that.

I just want something done with this company. I do not want them to take advantage of other people the way so many of us already have. Please if anyone can provided information on how to clear this "debt" or anyother comments please let me know.
