Consolidated media services
Unscrupulous purveyor of overpriced magazine deals Credit Card Fraud consumer rip-off fraud

Shops, Products, Services

This company called my college freshman son and offered him magazines at what he thought was a good price. He was half asleep at the time so he gave them his credit card thinking that he was paying about $69 for four magazines for a year or two. Later he realized that this was a bad deal -$69 per month for 3 months - that the deal was severely overpriced - he didn't even want most of the magazines So, he tried to cancel.

Consolidated Media's so called customer service told him that they had to keep his $130 as a good faith deposit or something (poor consolidated media) Whether or not he will ever receive any magazines is up in the air. They say that he has been a customer for 3 months, but he has not seen a magazine or any correspondence that they supposedly sent to him. The money he spent was for college tuition, books and food, so he has limited his funds for any fun other than reading the non-existent magazines.
