Would not honor coupon

Perhaps you believe that if you ignore my email, I will just go away. Let me please enlighten you. I WILL NOT GO AWAY UNTIL I HAVE SATISFACTION.

No matter how long it takes, not matter how high in Giant Food's hierarchy I have to go, I will get satisfaction.

After speaking to a representative of Giant Food's Customer Service department, James Weldon, I realize that Giant Food does not know anything about Customer Service. The definition of service is not blowing off customers. The offered coupon contains no restriction on photocopies. However, I was told that photocopies cannot be used. So is this the old bait and switch routine or is it just someone who is incompetent (CYA)? Your choice here. If anything, Giant Food is consistent.

Unfortunately, Giant Food is consistent in its philosophy that the customer is ALWAYS wrong.

My family will NEVER use Giant Food's pharmacy again and I will inform all of my friends and co-workers about this incident.

This is the second time that this has happened at this particular store. I went to drop off my Wife's Rx at the pharmacy. I showed a photocopy of the $20 Giant Food's Gift Card offer to the cashier, Amy. She said that it is a "Company Policy" that only original coupons are acceptable. I explained that there is nothing on the coupon that indicates the "Company Policy" and that the store manager, Josh, said that they absolutely accept photocopies. I walked away without the Rx. Amy seemed pleased.

No one at the "Customer Service" desk was able to verify that Giant Food will accept photocopies of the offer, that they could help resolve the problem or that they were fully awake.

The only stipulations stated on the coupon are as follows:
1) Coupon must accompany purchase
2) Offer cannot be combined with any other promotional offerings
3) Not valid with Medicare/Medicaid or any on any governmental-funded
prescriptions, or where prohibited by law
4) Redeem only at Giant Pharmacy.
5) Coupon Expires: November 30

Is this what Giant Food means by their Customer Pledge? Giant Food's pharmacy certainly has a very adversarial approach to dealing with customers. I do not believe that this is a good business practice in the least.
