I would strongly urge AGAINST using GMAC mortgage - for two main reasons 1) Absolutely no customer service - they could care less if you have an issue, have no interest in resolving the issue and can not wait to get you off the phone 2) watch your escrow account - they must be using these funds to try and fix their poor financial standing. They are charging us 35% more per year than needs to be collected; and all they continue to do is raise the amount - even though it is absolutely not needed. This must be a way for them to make money... Just keep $1,000's of other people's money to invest, loan out or whatever. I guess the consumer is the new bank. Sorry, but we don't have the money to try and help out GMAC Mortgage - here's an idea - maybe the top execs can cut some of their bonuses and you can start charging your customers the correct amount vs. Grossly inflating it. Find someone else to float you the $ - the government loves to give away free money - get it from them!
