Anchor House rep hangs up on me when I want more info

So I call the 877 number listed on a Craigslist posting about taking over monthly payments on a bank owned home with no credit check or money down...

Anchor House rep answers and does not give his name. He takes my name, number and email address so he can "send me a receipt" after the $199 transaction is complete...

I ask him to email me some literature on the company before I decide to give him my credit card number. He says they don't have any. Hmmm... Very interesting!

The rep tells me that the $199 registration fee is fully refundable to me but I'm still not convinced. I ask if they have a website and he tells me that it's only for members but I can check it out if I keep him on the phone...

I proceed to tell him that I will check it out first and call him back because I'm not comfortable giving my credit card number over the phone. He hangs up on me before I even finish...

I google "Anchor House Financial" and find a victim report posted on usacomplaints.com...

I call Anchor House back and rep answers still not giving his name. I ask why he hung up on me when I wouldn't give him my credit card number and why there's a report against them on this website...

The rep starts stumbling and I inform him that I will file a report as well. He tells me to go ahead because they "have 5 out of 5 customers..." He doesn't finish but instead goes into infantile gibberish; "blah blah blah, goo goo, gee gee, ga ga!"

I start laughing and hang up. Give them a call at 1-877-712-4464. See how far you can get without giving them a credit card number. It's a great game to play with your friends or at a party.
