I found the Fresh Market to be run by a manager when I was there whom used sexually explicit letter with employees, would intimidate employees under the age of 18 and make them work past the hours they were scheduled when the store was closed in the evening. Other management would make such remarks as "Are you on medication that you are not taking?"! Also, the manager at the time according to reports from coworkers got angry and through two meat pies against the wall in the meat department. The manager upon getting a soft drink squirted in her hair when dailing with a faulty drink machine in the breakroom said out loud that she was used to stinky stuff in her hair! And this is in an area where minors could have been as well.

There seems to be little regard for the welfare of children-minors under the age of 18 at the Fresh Market though they hire them. This happened in 2007 when I worked there and the meat pie incident was reported to me around last Christmas.

There is new management there at the store except for one assistant manager whom I understand continues to berate people and one youth-age 17 at the time this year left the store early as he was berated by this assistant manager and this youth has been promoted in the past and is well respected.
