Didn't send us paperwork on our puppy and give us the run around everytime we call

We purchased a puppy on 11-20-07 at this pet store in Park Meadows Mall. When we purchased this puppy for $859.99, we were told that we would get his paperwork in 2-4 weeks at that time.

About 2 months later we called and they said they were sorry and that it takes 12-16 weeks to receive the paperwork. That was okay until it turned into 5 months and we still didn't get the paperwork.

I called them and they said that the owners briefcase was stolen and they lost several of their customers paperwork. They said they would do some research and get back to us in a WEEK OR TWO. So we waited a month and have repeated this cycle for the last 4-5 months.

My husband called a few weeks ago and got the same storey and only after asking them if we needed to get a lawyer did the owner call us back. She was very rude and gave him the same run around and said she would call us back. Once again we're still waiting for a phone call.

We still have the checklist that we signed which mostly protects them from taking any responsibility for a lot of things, like selling sick puppy's, but one thing this checklist does state is, I understand that the registration application papers for my puppy will be mailed certified mail in approximately 12-16 weeks.

We just want what we were promised and what we paid for. As much as I love my sweet Bailey and I think he's worth so much more I did pay almost $900 for a dog and after almost a year have no paperwork to show why I paid that much. We have a business owner who doesn't seem to care of want to help us, and tells us conveniently her briefcase was stolen, I wonder how many people got this storey and the run around. I can't even tell you how many phone calls my husband and I made to this business and I've had it.
