Rip-off

I bought a minivan from JD Byrider. The next day I had problems starting it. After several attempts to have their "mechanics" fix it, they still did not know what it was. Finally the engine died. After an exhausting and arduous day, I won my case and they exchanged with me for another one that was in pretty good shape. (It also needed several repairs)

I had a situation where the side was damaged. I filed a claim with my insurance company and had it fixed. The whole driver's side of the van had a brand new paint job. It looked great. The day after I picked up my van, I brought it to J.D.'s to have them replace a fuel pump. I had asked them several times about the pump, and finally I had to go to a GM dealer to prove a diagnosis. Anyway, they agreed to replace it.

After the work was done, (I had been sitting in their waiting room for hours), I got in my van and drove directly to a windshield replacement facility for a new windshield. The glass man asked me about a big gouge/scratch on my driver's side door.
MY NEW PAINT JOB was ruined!!! And, not only that, but they had used some touch up paint to try to hide it that didn't even match.in addition, there were red paint spots on the door, obviously from J.D.'s lift.

I went immediately back to J.D.'s and told the sales manager. He said to go see the service manager. We found him and showed him what happened. He said, "We don't have touch up paint here" (this is there own repair shop) and that I would have to call tomorrow after he asks the mechanic if he did it.

Can you expect anyone to own up to what turned out to be $600 in damage! I reported it to my insurance company and had the van repaired. J.D. Refused to even pay my $50 deductible. I was told to "sue me", by the sales manager.

Now it's up to the insurance company, but it still puts me out the fifty dollars and the cost of a rental car for three days.

I would advise anyone to examine their vehicle before and after any repairs J.D. Does to their car.
