If you take a Friedman's Tennis Bracelet out in the sunlight, you will see that it looks like a bunch of brown specks. If you know diamonds at all, this quality is known as "Bort" and is usually only used for industrial purposes. It is far below an I-3 in clarity. My best suggestion is to educate yourself as much as possible, and realize that you are NOT getting what you're paying for at most of the mall jewelry stores. They sell poor quality merchandise, don't stand behind what they sell, have ridiculous finance charges, etc. Your independent jeweler may be a little more expensive, but no drill bits, green necks, or sky-high interest rates.
