Warranty's Are Worthless Ordered their high end, heavy duty water bags for winter pool cover. 8 of 12 bags defective and no help was given

On September 12 I ordered 12 of Doheny's Double walled, heavy duty water bags for my mom's pool, in addition to a 18' x 40' pool cover. Everything with the order went fine, the shipping was fine, we received our merchandise w / no problems.in early October we closed the pool down and filled the water bags 3/4 full. My mom has had the pool for 20 years and has previously purchased these bags from our local pool supplier. They have always lasted 7-8 years because we clean them & properly store them each year and are not rough on the equipment.

These bags were different. We filled them and everything was fine, the material seemed robust like the other bags so there was no cause for concern. We had a non-typical LONG winter... Snow from early December, clear through to March. When the snow melted 8 of the 12 bags had failed. My first contact with Doheny's was in April via their contact us page from their website (DO NOT USE NOBODY ANSWERS). A few weeks later I tried again - no response. I had my mom look up the order info & receipts. It took her a while to find them and I finally got around to calling them today (8/22).

I was SHOCKED to find out that these bags only have a 30 day warranty? The gal on the phone insisted that they increased the warranty to 90 days but I told her that was rediculous. How can anyone know if a bag is defective w/in 90 days... Especially since we bought the bags in September, did not fill them until October, and our winter didn't really hit until December? I was not expecting full replacement value, but did expect they would make some sort of arrangement for me to get a deal on some new ones, but the gal told me that they were unwilling to do anything for me.

I told her that the website did not show the warranty on these bags to be 30 days (or even 90) and it is extremely misleading when they have all the warranty info on their site showing longer warranties (for the most part). I told her I would never have purchased these bags from this company if I had known they only had a 30 (or 90) day warranty. Our local pool supplier warrants theirs through at least one winter.

Good grief... I would recommend you not buy anything from this company without verifying the warranty of the purchases.

I want to say we have not had a problem with the pool cover... It has a 15 year warranty but I'm not real impressed with the way this issue has been handled.
