On August 13, this co. Called and stated no payment received and due by8/15/08. So Iwas intimidated to pay twice

On August 13 I received a phone call from India (Customer Care rep.) and told if I did not pay the August mortgage payment by 8/15/08, I would pay a late charge. Also I looked and found my bank statement which had a copy of the cancelled payment check. So this person said send copy to the AHMSI by 8/15/08. I had copy sent by Express Mail and it was delivered by 10:36 am on that date. I then called to check if this company got and this Customer Care Department in India person said no way to check. It goes to Texas. So he transferred me to TX and Byron Allen told me no posting of Express-Mail yet. I would still be late with my mortgage payment so I paid another mortgage payment for the month of August. I called back on Monday and Wednesday 8/20/08 and am told to wait three to five days more to see if the Express-Mail is posted. I sent three e-mails to custserv@americanhm.com without any reply or resolution to this.
