Deadbeat Landlords Government spending waste, never fixes anything

I've lived in the same apartment in Granger for 2 years now. Within weeks of moving in we asked T&L Properties to come fix our electrical plugs because they were so worn that nothing would stay plugged in. Our screens in the window don't fit right so there's a half inch gap between it and the window, letting all kinds of bugs in our apartment. Also we needed a new filter for our air conditioner. We got no response, I have filed several maintenance requests and get no response. Then not long after we moved in we had a heavy rain, and water leaked from around the window. We again filed a request to have that fixed, they have been out here 4 times to look at the window and every time they caulk the same spot and tell us that should fix it. After the second time it leaked we noticed the paint bubbling off the ceiling, were the water is leaking between the second floor and the first floor. We called them and they came out and gave us a fan to dry the musky smelling carpet in our spare bedroom. We told them we need a 24 hour notice when they come to fix it and they told us that they have no idea where they're maintenance guys will be in 24 hours and they won't be able to fix it, despite the fact that law states they have to give us a 24 hour notice. It's been 2 years now and our spare bedroom which is supposed to be our nursery for our week old daughter smells of mold. We cannot keep our little girl in there. They still refuse to do anything because now they need to take the siding off and find where it's leaking from and that costs too much money.

We are a government subsidized complex and they are charging nearly $700 a month, what we can't pay the government picks up the rest. We just found out that our complex is losing it's government funding and we are gonna have to pay $687 for this run down apartment that they refuse to do any work on. All they do is collect a check they don't do anything for us, they barely keep the grounds up. The only thing that gets nicer around here is the owner of T&L Properties vehicles, i see he's sporting a new Hummer now, but they can't make habitable conditions for they're properties?
