Dodged a bullet with World Moving

We nearly dodged a major financial and moving disaster, and got out of our contract with World Moving just in time.

Like pretty much everyone else reporting on this site, we were quoted a certain "locked in" price when we first contacted them back in May. Today Karlos called me to confirm the list of stuff we were taking. A lot of furniture and stuff I told them about in May wasn't on the list anymore! And adding it doubled our weight and doubled our price!

I have no idea where they got the idea that we were moving with less than 40 boxes. Right now we're at 112, and still counting — and most of them are books.

We canceled the contract, with barely the four days we were allowed as per our contract. We feel lucky to have dodged the bullet that is World Moving.
