ATX Marketing
Had a weird feeling... Good thing I denied the second interview!

Shops, Products, Services

Ok so I found this awesome internship opportunity online, submitted my resume, and got a call before the end of the day for an interview. So I dressed up, wasted my lunch break and went to interview the next day at ATX Marketing on Braker. I was so excited and thought this was a great opportunity! Yea that was until I entered the small office with 2 employees! Although my interview was only 10 minutes max, I walked out of there very confused

1) The guy said they worked all these national accounts but D.A.R. E was the only one he could name. Then he asked me if I could travel!!?? UMM hello this is an internship and I attend college but I agreed to maybe being able to on weekends.

2) When he talked about the second interview being all dayI looked at him funny and reminded him that I have a job where I work 8-5 so it was pretty much impossible unless I was able to convince my managers otherwise.

3) When asked what hours I would work he said 8-5 Monday through Friday. WHAT!!??? Have you ever heard of an internship where you work those hours? I have class you know! This had already been explained!

So I got back to work and began doing some research. I called BBB and they were able to tell me that the company had filed to be a corp. Recently so that was good until she told me I should Google the company and see what comes up because that was all she could tell me. Well come to find it, the company was a SCAM!!! Everything the other reports explained were right! And it was way too good to be true! Thanks to this website and all the other victims, I was able to save myself! Thanks everyone!!!
