Ripoff Moving Company! Terrible service and no responsibility taken

I contracted with Ivy Moving for a May 30th home move. They were advised that it was a 4 BR, 3.5 BA home. I was told that they should be there at 7Am to start the move. The day before Ivy Moving called to advise that they would actually arrive between 10am and noon.in fact they did not arrive until nearly 4PM. I finally gave up on the day and sent the 3 men home at 11PM despite the fact that the move was not yet complete.

Problems:

1. There were still household goods at the former home to be moved. I spent over 3 hours the following day completing the move on my own.

2. They did not have time to put items in their proper places or put furniture back together again. I spent hours the following day doing these tasks singlehandedly.

3. Ivy Moving sent a small truck that did not accommodate the move at one time.instead, we had to unload then drive back and do a second run, which significantly added to the time the job took to complete.

4. They did nothing to protect the home, so they left black rubber scuff marks (from the furniture dolly) on the white carpet and stairs. I had to have the carpets cleaned for the new owner.

Ivy Moving has taken no responsibility for a terrible move. You should never use these movers. There are plenty of good, honest movers around, so keep shopping even if they have the lowest price. Don't take a chance with them — you'll absolutely regret the choice.
