This moving company has made move across the country the worst experience of my life. At first, they quoted me a very reasonable price. They were the only company to not require a minimum charge of 2000 lbs to move. I needed someone within two days of first starting to look and I had to move fast. This was a big mistake.

When I first spoke to them, they claimed to provide all packing materials necessary and that all I had to do was put cardboard over anything that was glass and then bubble wrap it. I did all of that. They said they had everything else that I would need to move.

When they showed up, an hour and a half late, they started wrapping all of my belongings in saran wrap. They also put extra wrapping on some of my glass. I told him I didn't understand why he was doing that, b/c the glass was fully padded and he smiled and said that he wants to make sure and "double wrap" just to be sure. They also wrapped my couch. I purposely left my old covering on it, b/c I didn't care what happened to the fabric. It was old. Well, at the end of moving all of my stuff to their van, they give me a bill with an additional $150.00 in packing charges and on top of that, they charged me an elevator fee. Well, my building has stairs in the front and I am on the first floor. The elevator was just easier. They should have used the front stairs and been within 75 feet and I wouldn't have had that charge. He said that I had to pay it or they wouldn't move my stuff.

Well, once I was finally here, I called the company and my rep had changed. The new girl, who had no idea what she was talking about, told me that I had to give her a date so they coul deliver. She told me that whatever day I gave, they could deliver up to 7 days before that and 14 after. Well, my apartment wasn't going to allow a delivery 7 days before I moved in, so I had to give a date 7 days after my move in, just in case they delivered early. Once I gave her the date she told me I would have my belonging within 14 days and would have 24 hours notice to deliver.

Well, on day 13 I called and spoke to the "new manager." He told me that he researched all of my paper work and that they had 14 "business days" to deliver. How that makes sense when they count saturdays and sundays as dates they can deliver, but not towards their guarentee, I don't know. Well, he guarenteed me that he would have it to me in 14 business days. I just called and spoke to him, as today is day 13 and I need to prepare and he says that he now has 21 business days to deliver. I asked him how that was possible, everything I have says 14 days and he just guaranteed it to me less than a week ago. Apparently, every piece of paper I have says 14 days, except 1. They changed their policy after they quoted me. It was written on 1 piece of paper that I signed in the heat of the moment fighting over the $150.00 charges at the pick up. Every other piece of paper says 14 days. I even have emails from them confirming the 14 days after I signed the contract.

Here is the worst part, after the "new manager" guaranteed a delivery after the 14 business days, I had a work meeting get scheduled out of town and will be gone for three days. If they choose to deliver on one of those days, they are holding me to a charge of $750.00 per day that they have to wait. I told the guy that I only made these plans b/c of his promised date and that he should waive that fee. He said no. He said he made a mistake and that people make mistakes, but that he could charge me for it.

I have yet to receive my belonings and am sure there will be additional charges on the delivery as well.
