The Right One The Right One is the WRONG One!

On February 17 I visited The Right One (TRO) in Cherry Hill, NJ in hopes of obtaining information, and possibly a membership. The Right One specializes in introductions of singles. Being 40 and never married I was frustrated and concerned that I may never meet "the right one". I had a lengthy interview and eventually considered a membership. The lady I spoke with worked with me to come up with a payment plan that would fit my budget. She put the proverbial icing on the cake with the statement "just think, by the time this is over you'll be a two-income household anyway". Imagine how that made me feel. There was a requirement of $400 for a background check, which she set up on a payment plan for me, as well. The balance was payable over 24 months at $100/month. I was signed up for 6 intros at 1/month.

About a month went by and I received my first introduction The gentleman called me and after talking to him for about 45 minutes I knew he was not my type. First, I had requested a non-smoker/non-drinker... He talked about going to the casinos and stopping at a winery on the way. Also, some of his first words out of his mouth were "why did you try TRO? No luck at the bar?" Now if I specifically requested a non-drinker, why would he ask about the bar? Also, I requested a born-again Christian man... He was Catholic and when I told him I was born-again, he asked if I was like a Jehovah's Witness going door-to-door. Again, he would have known the answer to that question had he fit my specifications. After his phone call I filled out the survey provided in order to fine-tune future introductions.

The second introduction called, but I never returned his phone call because I didn't feel comfortable with the way he sounded on the phone. Again, I returned the survey and explained why I did not return his calls.

The third introduction I never heard from. And the fourth, fifth and sixth introductions I received within a 2-week period, and heard from none of them.By my calculations I should have received my last introduction in August. Around the beginning of July I contacted TRO regarding a billing dispute and, while I had them on the phone I mentioned about the 3,4, 5, and 6th introductions and how I never heard from them. I also mentioned that I had returned every survey and on several of them commented that I was very unhappy with the service, and that I never received even a courtesy call to see if there was anything they could do. I was advised by the receptionist that she had viewed my account and I still had 6 introductions... I had been credited with all of them in an effort to make restitution.

The last week of July I received a letter dated July 25 that I had exhausted all my introductions. Just 2 weeks prior I had been told I still had 6 introductions.

My sister tried calling TRO to see if she could find anything out and was told by a gentleman there that basically, love costs money, get over it.
