I purchased a "contract" with Together Dating back in August. I talked to the counselor and got smooth-talked into an "introductory" rate of five introductions for $1695.

They gave me an introduction, and I got to talk with the girl over the phone a few times. However, after that, I could never get through because the line was always busy. After trying for a week, I called and found out that qualified as an introduction and I would not be given another. After complaining for a while, I got a free one. I got another introduction and actually got a date—but it went nowhere.

At this point, I could not complain. However, later that winter, a depression I long ignored got dangerous. Waking up with suicidal thoughts, I called them and told them I could not have any more introductions for a while in order to get some serious counseling and help. They told me to send them a fax to explain my situation and to put me on hold.

About a year later, I started to find some strength so I tried to call them back. I found out they moved their offices permanently out of Tulsa and the closest center was Kansas City. After talking with someone at their corporate offices, I was told Together unloaded their contracts to a competitor in Tulsa. However, that competitor did not have my contract. I called a few others to see if they had bought it, but none of them had.

In any case, I was never informed by letter or phone of their decision to leave my market. Unable to find my contract, I gave up on seeking any sort of reimbursement.
Leaving town without contacting people contracts have been made with is very unprofessional, and sounds like they had to get out fast for some reason or another. I do not know if they lied about unloading the contract or not, but in any case, I was definitely ripped off.
