Ultimate vanlines ripoff, rude and just a bad company

I'm really sorry that I didn't find these complaints before booking with this company. I thought I had done my homework checking the BBB and the net but I now see that most of these came up after I booked. I too am becoming a victim to these people and it is now day 15 and I still have no idea when my things will be delivered and the charges seem to be piling up. I contracted for X amount and very clearly listed my items, one being a large TV in which they told me that they would put cardboard around the screen and then wrap it with a furniture pad... Well that is not the way it went.

I was orginally contracted for a later date but Megan called and asked if they could pick up earlier and that they had a truck that would be delivering to my new area at the end of the week. They showed up 3 hours late and then preceeded to tell me that my boxes were too small and that everything would have to be unpacked and packed in their boxes at the tune of $40 a box and they estimated 8-10 boxes. I refused as the boxes contained fragile items and they were packed small for that reason. The driver then said after a lot of arguing that he could put my boxes in his boxes for $28 a box and it would take approx 4 boxes and that the large TV would have to go into a crate and that cost would be $75 and if I didn't agree then he would take the larger boxes and leave the small boxes. This was turning out nothing as Megan had described. Since I was already in my new home state I had no choice but to agree in order to have my things picked up. I thought I would be facing an additional $200 but it got worse from there.

I called a couple of days after they picked my stuff up to find out what the weight was and the total extra charges. Oh sorry but that person is out and will call you back. They never call you back or they tell you that so and so will be helping you and they will call you back, well for 2 weeks now, every other day I call only to be talked to rudely, they can't give out that information or the person with that information is out and will call you back... Yeah right! At first I was calling to see what the weight was and expected delivery date but now I wonder if I will ever see my things again.

After two weeks of sleeping on the floor I had to buy an air matteress. I have had to buy cooking items, clothes for my new job, towels for the bath and even this computer in order to keep up with my bills and school studies. I should not have had to buy any of this since I already own all of this stuff, which they have. I did find out that they have tacked on an additional $400 for packing my boxes into their boxes, but I still don't have the weight of my items or even when my items are to arrive.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!!! They are honest liars, professional at ripping you off and very reliable at keeping you in the dark!
