Dirt ball, law breaking ripoff artists

After moving out of California 11 years ago, and recently purchasing a house we started getting phone calls from "Jack" about a Pac Bell bill from 1999. This company cannot provide validation of the bill, the letter they sent has the wrong spouses name on it, and when talking to Jack my husband was called a thief and a liar because he disputed the bill. We would also like to join a class action law suit. If this bill had been on any credit report we could not have bought our house and they never attempted to contact us in any way.
