Refuses to refund unauthorized charges. Nationwide

I have spent the entire day trying to get a refund of $44.90 from 1st Credit Now. My husband supposedly signed up for their services, which he knows nothing about, and they canceled the account but refuse to refund the money they charged. I have been calling the same day it was charged, trying to be nice and explain the situation and that we are only one day late canceling a membership we didn't know we had, and all I would receive is the run around. It's against company policy, they can't issue refunds, there's only one supervisor and she isn't available.

I can usually get a refund from any legitimate company that is not out to scam. Out of the 6 people I talked to at 1st Credit Now, only one person would explain what the company even was. A place that reports to a credit agency every 30 days saying you've been paying good on your installment loan, to boost your credit. But there is no loan, and you get to pay them to tell the credit agency there is. Sounds like a scam to me.
