American Data Group
Lied about Government jobs and denied a refund

Shops, Products, Services

A couple months ago, I saw a job advertisement from American Data Group (ADG) regarding government jobs in bay area. It looked similar to this url: http://www.careerbuilder.com/JobSeeker/Jobs/JobDetails. Aspx? IPath=JRM&ff=21&APath=2.21.0.0. 0&job_did=J7X4D45YV1VRD50XHPB. I called a number on job advertisement and reached an ADG representative. I told her that I were looking for an IT Entry Level and saw an advertisement from her company, so I desided to call a number in the advertisement and reached her.

She asked me where I was located and I said I was in Fremont, CA. She then did something and responded that ADG currently had several IT Entry Level position opening in Alameda near Fremont, CA. She told me if I agreed to pay for the government job service for $79.95 one time fee, she would send all job descriptions and contact numbers, so that I could contact the recruiter for the job. She also mentioned if I could not get an IT Entry Level government job that she would provide, I could contact ADG to get more IT Entry Level positions in my area until I could get an IT Entry Level government position. If I still could not get an IT Entry Level government position within 60 days, I could get a refund if I send the package back within 60 days. After hearing what she said, I ageed to pay for the governemnt job fee.

About 2 weeks later, I received a package that had a booklet explaining how to get a government job and a list of jobs that was including every job title that was alphabetically in order from letter a-z such as a for accounting, z for zoo keeper, etc. After viewing all job title from the list, I saw no IT Entry Level position in the list and even outside of Alameda county. There was no such IT position that was similar to what I explained to the ADG's representative.

So I called ADG again and another representative said some one would do a customized search and send new IT Entry Level positions that were opening in my area via my email, and it would take 2 to 3 days. Without receiving anything from ADG, I called ADG again and explained my situation again to another representative, this gentleman also said it would take 2 to 3 more business days for some one to do a customized search and then would send new IT Entry Level government positions that were opening in my area. Another 2 weeks later, I still received nothing from ADG.

At this time, I was so tired to contact ADG and assumed that ADG people were playing game with me, so I went online and did some researches and found out that many people filed complaints ADG regarding what they lied to their customers similar to my case. I then stopped calling ADG and called my Bank Of America (BOA) for help to dispute the charge of $79.95 from ADG. When I reached a BOA representative, she said some one else from BOA would do an invertigation for my case. When I first contacted BOA, it was about 45 days after paying ADG for government job services. I then waited for the investigation result from BOA and instruction to do next steps.

After a while, BOA sent me a letter asking me to send any evidence/proof that could help BOA to solve my situation and attached ADG's documents saying that ADG would refund my money if I would return the package that they sent to me. When I got that letter, I immediately sent back the package to ADG.

After faxing all required documents including a receipt of sending the ADG package back, BOA did another investigation and it took a couple more weeks.

Now, I received a letter from BOA saying that ADG would not refund me because I returned the package after 60 days of servicing.

Please help me to get back my money! ADG lied to me. The did not have any IT Entry Level, but they said they did and then they sent me all type of jobs that were not related to the job that I wanted. I did not return their package because I was waiting for the investigation from BOA and did not realize that I had to return it back to ADG within 60 days. I did not contact ADG directly to have a refund because I already contact a couple times and always got no response from them and wasted a lot of time already. I just did not want to waste anymore time.

Please help me! Thaks!
