Scams Fathers In Desperate Legal Situations

I had just been served divorce papers from Michigan and it stated my wife was going for me to have supervised visitation. On top of being scared, I have very limited income due to just getting back on my feet. I thought Premier Family Services was finally an organization that was stepping up to help fathers in such situations with affordable representation. They took payments of $98.00 and $200.00, leading me to believe I would evetually have representation at my court date. I read the contract and agreement and discovered this was not so. I also discovered that they were only going to type up responses and prepare me for the hearing. I can do all that on my own. Needless to say, I did not sign the contract; therefore, I did not agree to their terms, declined their offer, and cancelled my account. Yet; without receiving any services what so ever nor doing anything for me, they refuse to refund my $298.00, even after a rebuttal on here that they refunded $750.00 to another individual in January. I do not want anything from these peole except a total refund of $298.00. I have also contacted the BBB with the same terms and look forward to when a real lawyer starts a class action suit.

A warning to others faced with my situation. As scared as you get; take a moment to calm down and thnk so you don't do anything rash like getting involved with scams like this. After I did; I was fortunate that I found a Michigan lawyer willing to take my case for a $375.00 deposit and $100.00 a month payments.
