Collection for Verizon / GTE, Problem need Verizon to fix

I got notice from them and call them up. Look like same stories as other complain here: All from Verizon.

My bill if from 1999 GTE as phone carrier. Detail of bill as:

Payment received: $33.11-
Additional uncollectible {Writeoff Activity}: $41.58-
Total amount due:. 00

I don't remember what happened then, so Afni want $41.58 from me here.

I believe we should ask Verizon to stop these type of terrible things to its former/current customers, or we should file complain on Verizon as well.
