Keep Away! Went for a perm and had to wear a wig for 3 months! No money back!

I went in for a perm at Luisa's hair salon some time ago and requested a perm. The stylist told me that my hair was too greasy for a perm. She told me that I needed to wash my hair and return to the salon in about a week.

As I got up to leave, Luisa walked over to me and asked what happened. Luisa insisted that my hair could still be permed - it would just take longer for the perm to penetrate the hair. She told the stylist to continue with the perm.

The stylist divided my hair into four parts and began perming the two front sections first. As Luisa left, she moved on to the back of my hair and began yanking my hair with the comb. My hair jerked back and forth as she did this. I asked her to stop yanking my hair. She immediately let my hair go and left the perm sit in myhair for about 10 minutes then told me to go over to the shampoo basin.

Another stylist took over, rinsed the perm out, put in a protein treatment, set my hair, etc.

Later, when I went home, the hair at the back of my head began to fall out in copious amounts. I was not able to return to the salon so I kept my hair wrapped up in a bun until the next weekend, when I hoped that a protein treatment would be enough to fix the problem (and that it should be free!).

Due to a death in my family, I was not able to deal with the hair dresser issue though my hair continued to fall out more and more. Eventually, the back of my hair became so bald that my scalp was visible even with my hair let down.

I returned to the salon several weeks later and informed Luisa about the situation and even told her the name fo the hairdresser so that she would know who the stylist was.

Luisa declined to refund my money, claiming that once I walked out of the salon, there was no way that I could prove that it was the stylist's fault.

I had to wear a wig for 3 months until my hair grew back.

I will never go back!
