I went for a consultation to the Regis salon and talked to a stylist about getting my haircolor done. I'm new to the area & wanted a good color expert. They looked at my hair & the written instructions from my previous stylist in my old hometown & said they could make my hair look great. I only wanted my roots done to blend with the rest of my hair & asked only that it blend well and not be RED. What happened - they turned my roots along the part on top of my head a bright coppery pink color and the roots along my temples a dark mahogany red. They next tried to tone the roots, then tried another color althogether. It still was red and mismatched, but the stylist had another customer waiting so she told me to come back "if I wasn't happy" - they knew I wasn't happy. The stylist was off the next day, so I had to wait until the day after that to attempt another "repair".

This time she decided to do highlights to cover the pink and red (after a consultation with the manager who was also consulted the first night), the highlights were done all through my hair - not just the roots that had been messed up, so now my whole head was coppery red, and I had started out with dark blonde/light brown hair. It was 9PM by the time she finished & the mall was closing - no way to stay & repair it again, and anyway, my hair was FRIED. I called the next day to talk with the manager about it but was told that he was off that day & they'd try to reach him & have him call me. He never did call. I finally called again the next day, and he said he knew nothing about my calling the previous day.

I told the manager that my hair color was ruined and that I wanted it fixed so that it wasn't pinky/coppery/red, but that it was already fried and that I didn't think I trusted anyone at that salon to fix it. I told the manager that I wanted a refund because I was going to have to spend a lot more money trying to get my hair fixed from where they had ruined it. He was rude to me when I told him that my hair was still red when I left the last time - he asked why I hadn't said something and I told him that I had said it to the stylist, but he told me he'd call it in to corporate. That was more than a week ago, so I called the corporate office myself last week to find out the status of my complaint. I was given a name of a customer service rep who's supposed to be handling my complaint but have been unable to connect with her. I don't know how long it should take to investigate a complaint, but when someone actually RUINS your hair, and you have to go and pay someone else extra money to try to fix it, then you should be entitled to a refund.
