Correctional Billing Services
Charges outrageous fees for collect calls Internet

Shops, Products, Services

I am writing to compalin about a company called Correctional Billing Services. This is a nationwide billing service used by correctional facilities all over the country.

In order for me to talk to my son who is incarcerated I HAVE to set up an account with this company and I have to pay the fees they charge. Just to connect my phone calls they charge $8.95 and each minute after that is $. 89. Do the math for the 15 minute phone call I am allowed it cost me $17.30

Not only the money but I am only allowed to accrue $207.00 in calls each 90 days or they again block my line if I go over, even if my bill is paid unless I call and prepay for calls.

I know that some people think that if a person in in jail they are second class citizes and should have no voice, but until you know a persons story don't judge. This company has a monopoly on the phones they service and charge whatever they want and there is no one that can do anything about it.
