Dangerous Horse Trader Sold an extremely dangerous draft horse as "Kid Safe", possibly drugged

Addie was listed in Horseville.com as a Clydesdale mare - "broke to ride and drive, could be your next fox hunter, 16.3hh, very gentle and easy to hanlde..."

Although I now see all the flags presented, at the time, I passed it off. Kellie had no tack to ride the horse - saddle or bridle. The horse was stalled when I arrived. Addie moved fairly well on a lead rope, responsive to changes in direction with no yield to my personal space. She seemed intellegent and to be receptive to learning. The horse was a bit dull (probably distant due to medical influences, in my opinion) but seemed calm and sound.

As I left, Kellie appeared to be putting the horse in the pasture but did not release her while I was in sight. I return a few days later with a trailer to pick her up - paid partial cash and partial check. The horse loaded fine (was in a stall again when I arrived) and rode fine the 4 hours home.

When unloaded, she was WIRED - very excited and knew nothing as far as being handled. Nothing like when I saw her at the residence. My farrier trimmed her feet and had some trouble with her rearing. I stalled her for the night without much fuss, although she had no idea what I was asking when I asked her to go in the stall. I could not figure out how they had her in a small dark stall...

The next morning, she reared and ripped the steel stall front off the barn and was on a path to kill my pony mare. After stalling my horses, Addie stalked my pony, pacing in front of her stall. For 24 hours she did this, not even stopping to eat or graze.

When I contacted Kellie - She said the horse was fine and needed to get adjusted to our place... I had a trainer experienced with drafts come assess the horse - she was completely uncontrollable and aggressive, dangerous horse. When driven away from the pony stall, she went to run though a fence.

I had to get her off my property for the safety of me, my children, my horses, and my neighbors. It took 20 minutes to just halter the horse. When loaded in the trailer, she broke her tie and kicked violently. (yes, I do have witnesses to all of this activity) On the way back to Kellie's property, I contacted her. At this, Kellie's response was to "Pull over and leave her on the highway because she is not coming to my place! *&$#@#$&*" and "lock her in your trailer until you can sell her".

I took the horse to Ashville and left her there with Kellie and her husband. I stopped payment on my check and lost my cash. I only wish I had been able to control the horse enough to have a blood test done to confirm the drugging of this poor animal.
