Fired over accussations of money theft

I was an employee at the Calvert City, KY store #0450 up until 2-14-08. I went into work that day as usual. Shorty after i got there the Assistant Manager (Carol Wright) asked me to follow her into the office, after we got to the back she told me the District Manager (Linda Melton) wanted to talk to me i assumed in person.

She called on the phone which i felt was very unprofessional. She continued to ask several questions about drawers coming up short, drawers that i wasnt running on. She asked me if i was stealing money from the company. I responded No.

I was the closing manager and she said it looked as if i was stealing so she told me i was terminated. I feel they did me unfairly. An investigation should have been done and i should have been put on suspension without pay until the investigation was done.

I wasnt given the opportunity to prove that i'm innocent. I have 3 kids and i'm not even eligible for unemployment the reason is cause i didnt make enough in the 6 months i worked for Dollar General. I worked hard for them and they repay me by terminating me over accussations. I hadnt worked in 12 years prior to my employment with Dollar General. I was a stay at home mom.

I dont even have them as a good reference which is making things difficult for me to get another job. Another thing is all the drawers were coming up short even on nights i didnt work, so why is it that i lose my job and everyone else still has thiers?
