Terminated no reason giving

I have been employed by dollar general in mentor ohio for about 4 months now. I was a lead sales associate and had the job of preparing the deposits and pretty much what the assistant could do. There was a deposit that was short 22.50 and i was confronted about and told"your not in trouble and your not goin to be written up you just need to be more careful with the money" this coming from the manager. I went to work the following two days, nothing was said about it again. I went to work today 01/05 walked back to the office and the manager asked my"did you clocki" i said no she said"go clock in and come back there" i did go back there and immediately she asked for my keys and i said why? She said"the deposits was short and this is company policy. While she fired me she did not take me in the office privately she fired in front of customers, another employee and it was quit embarrising for me. There was no indication of the termination i have never been written up for anything, i keep the store recoverd constantly i Have numerous customers that come in to just shop with me. I do my job good the D.M. Loves me. Meanwhile theres three other girls includin the manager that do not do there jobs, always calling off, constantly there drawers are short, one girl gets atleast 2 complaint a week for attitude at the cah register. This was a slap in the face did not see it coming just moved and my income is vital to my family. If anybody has been in the samr situation as me please respond I have contacted a lawyer and i have a very good case for severance pay.
