Lost, broken numerous pieces of furniture, computer desks 2, mirrors, plants

This company moved my belongings from birmingham, michigan to jackson ville, florida (11/5/07). I paid them $1200 deposit and $1237 upon delivery. The furniture scheduled to be delivered on the 10th was in Jacksonville on the 5th. We were on the highway and rec'd a cll from the movers wanting to deliver to the apartment, which we had not signed into yet. After not being anle to deliver, they took the furniture to tampa, florida.By the time we got to jacksonville, the furniture was delivered two days later.

Upon delivery the movers told us the pieces that had been broken (when they picked it up in Tampa); a 45" glass table top for the dining room set, a 25x25 mirror, 2 computure desks, missing bamboo telephone stand, broken glass top for sofa table, missing boxes with assortment of pictures, books, missing shelves for two (6) shelf book cases, missing floor lamp. I filled out a claim report sent it to Anthem Claim Management, LLC 2351 Memorial Court, Anthem, Az 85086. Received quote for damages back from them for $198.00, (not enough to replace table top), however was told would recieve check for Cross. To date, nothing.

I have been trying to reach them by phone, got a recording that stated service was suspended. I called the number on the cecording and spoke with a rep who stated he had no knowledge of Cross's whereaboputs, but they phone service had been suspended due to failure to pay their bills.

I am willing to join anyone else in a lawsuit, this company advertised what I thought was a legal entity. There were no negative reports on them, therefore, I choose to use them. If they knew they would not honor their commitment and that theuy were going out of business, why would they not say so?
