American Home Shield
Slow Resolution Process and Warranty Offered on Any Home Sight Unseen

Shops, Products, Services

After reading all of the reports about American Home Shield, I had to throw my two cents in as well. I won't go into lots of detail because it is too lengthy but this company is horrible to work with and the subcontractors they use are even worse! It does not matter if the is 10 degrees below zero and you have no heat — you have to go through multiple steps that can take weeks just to get some resolution. My parents have them and we will not renew — absolutely not worth it.

I have a different home warranty company that actually did the inspection on my home and because they did the inspection, no claims are denied. He told me that AHS and a few other companies such as this will offer a warranty on any home - sight unseen. This means you could buy a run down shack and have an AHS Warranty! But I guarantee you will never get service. They are terrible and I would never recommend them to anyone. You are almost better to be on your own!
