Please, if you want an American Kennel Club registered animal, go to the AKC website and print a copy of the recommended information you need before buying a puppy. A responsible breeder will welcome your questions. Mr. Mike Denny and his son Zachery Denny were rude and evasive. A reputable breeder welcomes you to 'see' the litter (not touch or inflect danger of disease) Zachery Denny and Mike Denny would not let me see the litter, the place where they were raised, and their current website as of today, January 28, is still showing pictures of 5 dogs in the litter I purchased 1st Female, supposedly born on October 1. Go see the pictures... These are not Golden Retrievers and certainly are not 4 month old puppies. The AKC recommends you see the sire and dam. When I arrived on Mr. Denny's doorstep to pick up my puppy, I was advised the dam was dead, and was not allowed to see any of the litter. The AKC says to only pay 50% up front money and the balance on delivery of the puppy. These disreputable people required 100% of the money up front and the AKC registration papers and health certificates were supposed to be provided when I picked the puppy up. The papers were not provided.

BEWARE of these disreputable people. Please learn from my mistake. The AKC advises you to see the kennel to check on the care and feeding of your animal. That is why I traveled to Arizona to pick up my puppy. What I found was a filthy home, the puppy weighed less than 4lbs (for an 8 week old Golden Retriever, who was the first pick of the litter and sold to me as the most robust dog of a 11 puppy litter). The litter was not registered when I picked the puppy up, the shot dates on the health certificate were timed (according to my VET in California) an unhealthy distance apart, the puppy was malnourished and did not meet AKC standards. I wanted my money back but was advised that they would only give me another puppy. No reputable AKC kennel would treat animals and new puppy owners this way. STAY AWAY from these people.
