No delivery of magazines for 5 months, no reply from Customer Service

I placed an order for magazine subscription with this Magazincity.com on August 16. I'm from Japan, and paid $238 for US weekly and US cosmopolitan's yealy subscriptions.

At this point, January 2, I have received any magazines yet. I sent numerous e-mails to confirm my orders / asked if they have my correct address / why they are taking time too much for this. They never replied anything except automatic e-mail-replies.

Around the end of November, I called Customer Service 800 787 1414... It's not free from Japan. That's why I didn't want to call. Anyways, I called and told my customer ID which immediately confirmed. So they have my ID correctly. Why they can't reply my e-mails? I asked if they have my address correctly. It was correct. What the customer person said "it's proceeding. You'll receive magazines anytime soon. Maybe next week." It's January now. No magazines.

They took $238, my name & address, e-mail address, and gave me ID number. No merchandice after five months. They can't even reply e-mails. This could happen in Japan, too. But only as fraud. I don't know where to report this horrible company.

I made a thread in Yahoo! Japan's consumer forum after I accidentaly found one person who claims same thing: order magazine in July No magazines received in December. Another one person replied my thread. So, there are three people in Japan who paid money for this company in summer but no magazines in January.

This company has absolutely horrible service and untrustworthy. Is this Magazinecity service legal in US? What a rip off...
