REVOLVER magazine is a music magazine:
In March I filled out a subscription card and checked the "bill me later" option for myself and I also ordered a gift subscription for a friend and mailed to Revolver Magazine.

In May, I called because after being billed and sending them payment, we still had no magazines. I was told they were waiting for my check to clear. Why offer a "bill me later" option if you are gonna wait for payment and the check to clear before processing the subscriptions? I was told "because that's the way we do it"

I called again in June and was told that, yes, the check cleared the bank but I would have to wait for the next issue to come out. When I asked why, I was told "because that's the way we do it"

I called again in July when no magazines arrived and was told I would have to wait for the November Issue (even though August was on the stands and Sept was due out soon). When I asked why, again all I got from them was "because that's the way we do it".

I sent the following e-mail to them on July 31 and got NO reply and NO magazines, I faxed them again today... Asking for either our magazines or my money back so we can subscribe to a magazine that will treat us as valued customers.

Back in May I sent in a check for a subscription and a gift subscription. I called the first week of June asking where my magazines were and got no answers.
I called again this month (July) and still have no suitable information other than I just have to wait.
As of today I still have not received any magazines!
Neither has the person I ordered as a gift received his magazine.

When I last called, I was told we would receive no magazines until the November issue. With all the magazines out there, you would think you would want to keep subscribers yet each time I call I get no suitable answers to my questions.

Questions such as:

1) Why give me the option to "bill me later" if you refuse to send out the first magazine until you bill me, receive my check and the check clears? Answer given to me on the phone: "because that's the way we do it"

2) Why was I not sent the August Issue when my check cleared? Answer given to me on the phone: "beacuse that's the way we do it"

3) Why, if my check cleared by June do I have to wait until November for my first issue in the mail?
Answer given to me on the phone: "beacuse that's the way we do it"

Well, I can tell you that if I have to wait for the November issue to start my subscription when I sent a check in May, neither I nor my friend will be renewing at the end of the year and we will choose a new magazine to subscribe to... Why? Because that is the way I do it!
