I got a quote from them based on square footage, I had two other companies come and give me actual quotes based on visual observation of my items, I unfortunately choose Brinks because they were the lowest. They based their quote on cubic footage which I found out is illegal after the fact, they didn't show up for three days after they said they would show up, I had to leave early to start a new job and my wife was there alone with our daughter, they didn't pack items properly (used packing tape on furniture, which I am still removing) and after they loaded the truck, they told my wife it would be double the quote. My wife was freaked out and paramoid and didn't tell me this until after she had come up to Colorado, I called Brinks and told them it was unacceptable and I wouldn't pay, they swore that I had grossly underestimated the cubic footage, I then figured out the cubic footage on the truck they used and it was actually half of what they said the cubic footage was. They then disputed this, even though I am a licenced engineer. They said they would reduce the cost, but I had to pay, I told them I would pay them, provided we did an actual measurement when they showed up and I was refunded all money for extra footage. When the movers showed up, I measured and was 1,300 cubic feet which was half the 2,600 they claimed, still no refund. The mover told me face to face these guys were crooks and to sue them. After screaming at the owner for an hour on the phone I am left with little except that I warn anyone please don't use these liars.
