Illegal Collection Tactics

Recieved a call from these scumbags in November. The collector that called threatend with legal action on a debt that is out of statute of limitations on collections, one word - ILLEGAL!!!

Filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in Upstate NY and received the following in a PDF attachment from the BBB:

Our firm represents National Action Financial Services ("NAFS"). NAFS is in receipt of 's complaint and has requested that we respond on its behalf.

NAFS' account notes contradict Mr. Portz' allegations. A NAFS representative spoke with on one occasion regarding the account in question. During that brief conversation there was no mention of legal action being taken by NAFS, and, in fact, the account notes suggest that it may have actually been the NAFS representative who was on the receiving end of
the rude treatment.

However, in an effort to avoid any further conflict, NAFS has forwarded the account, along with 's complaint, back to the creditor so that the creditor is fully apprised of 's concerns. NAFS can therefore assure that he will not receive any future communications from NAFS regarding this matter.

I trust that this letter fully and satisfactorily addresses 's concerns. Please feel free to contact me if I can provide additional information or assistance.

And my response to the BBB:

Thank you for addressing this situation with them.

Additionally, please feel free to let them, and their attorneys, know that I will be posting their response to my complaint on usacomplaints.com. Their denial and claims of reversed rudeness are ridiculous and insulting. The very fact that they responded through their lawyers (if they are even lawyers at all) indicates to me that they feel the need to hide behind a hired gun. I am not the only person they have victimized with illegal threats and nastiness (just do a search on the net for them). This company is truly the scummiest of scummy collections outfits and should be ashamed of itself.in answer to your original request for response:

The complaint is NOT adjusted and I would NEVER do buisness with this company, nor would I ever recommend anyone to do so.
