Fraudulent Phone Scam

I applied for a payday loan online in October. Shortly after, a company named American Financial called and offered me a "credit card" with a $2,500 limit. They then went through their spiel and offered travel packages and medical discount cards, to which I clearly replied "no thank you." I did, however, accept the card based on the companies insistence that I would receive the card in the mail along with the list of benefits, and have two weeks to decide if I wanted the card before they deducted the member fee, and they gave me an 800 number to call if I wished to cancel.

After a week and a half went by and I did not receive any info.in the mail I tried calling the number to cancel. Lo and behold, no one ever answered the phone. So, I figured I was being swindled and I got to my bank before they removed the money and put a stop payment on it. I thought I had beat them at their own game.

Two days later, I check my bank account and there is a withdrawal by Galaxy Member Benefits. I had never heard of this company and did not know what services it offered. I called the number my bank gave me for GMB. Three times, wait time between 18 and 27 minutes each time, never spoke to a live person, was then informed by recording that I could not cancel any benefits or transactions without speaking to a live representative, which I couldn't do because after that message the company hangs up on you.

I researched the company further and found out that they are endorsed and sold to you by American Financial Card.net. So, when they couldn't get the money from me the first time, they just used one of their subsidiaries. So watch out for American Financial Card.net and Galaxy Member Benefits. They are working together to scam your butt.
