I have an old collection account that was forwarded to Laurence Hecker's office in August. I made a good faith payment of $50.00 using my debit card for the month of September. Hecker then sent a letter to me in October verifying that I had authorized the debit but had no dollar amount and no account number. When I called his office they said that it was the $50.00 debit. The next day, they tried to take out a debit of $2,500.00 (which I saw on my online banking). I had the debit returned NSF as this was not the agreement. I called his office again and they denied the debit and I set up a new debit of $500.00. They would not give me a confirmation number. They then debited my account for $500.00 on November 13. And again on November 14 for another $500.00. I had to cancel my debit cards and put a fraud alert through my bank. All I was trying to do was make good on a bad debt and this dishonest lawyer ripped me off. I dont know how, or when, i can straighten my bank account out. We live paycheck to paycheck and this is going to make the holidays more stressful than ever. I would not advise anybody to seek councel from Laurence Heckers law firm, He may try to rip you off. You, and people like you, give lawyers a bad name. And remember", what goes around, comes around"
