Rip off accounting

I went through a similar situation. I received my FREE consultation and then after a month of not being able to get thru to my lawyer via telephone, I decided to cancel.

I received an accounting of services as well. I was convinced I was ripped off. And this last post by Laura has confirmed it.

I find it very ironic that although we live in two differnet states and consulted two different lawyers, and had two differnet cases, we could be charged for the SAME AMOUNT OF TIME.

I too was charged 48 minutes of attorney time and 12 minutes for non attorney time for the same thing she was.

Also 30 minutes and 12 minutes for File close.

And 12 minutes for faxes to cancel my account. Which I wouldn't have wrote if I would have been able to get thru via phone. Does it take 12 minutes to recieve a fax?

This has lead me to believe that they do not even keep records of accounting, but just simply log in "standard" numbers.

I hope there is someone else out there who can have these same charges and want to come forward. I think we can prove they rip people off with their accounting practices.
