Platinumpersonals.com (PR Productions)
Platinumpersonals.com SCAM! Company preying on the lonely!

Shops, Products, Services

DON'T be fooled by this scam company.

They prey on people who have posted personals at Love@AOL and other personal ad services online. They send you a FAKE email with a link to their site so you can sign up for "free" with their site. You sign up and try to browse their personal Ads. Nothing doing. You have to pay them a minimum of 24.95 to become a "priveledged" member. When you initially do the free sign up, you create a profile. After you do this, you receive two fake emails supposedly in RESPONSE to your profile. They make you PAY to look at the responses! Their "Terms and Conditions" claims you can join for $20. But the actual charge is $24.95. I read over the two cleverly orchestrated responses to my personal ad after joining and sent my REAL email address to the two recipients. After receiving NOTHING back, I checked this service out online for scam reports and came up with this site: http://www.platinumpersonals-scam.com/

I am going to contact my credit card company and retract the charge because Visa protects you from online frauds. I'll bet this "service" is run from someone's apartment somewhere.
