Illegal Telemarketing Scam Artists

These guys contact you and tell you that you will get all sorts of fabulous prizes. They told me that I would recieve a diamond watch and a whole list of magazines for free, all I need to do is pay for one of them. However they make it sound like a good deal and end up overcharging you plus the watch that I was to recieve requires me to buy and you have to sign this waver that says you confirm your order and want the gift.

This practice is illegal. Telemarketers must state clearly that the purpose of the call is to sell you something and if a gift is part of the offer, they must make the sales pitch first then let you know about the free gift offer.

I have contacted the Better Business Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, and my local Attorney General about them. They seem to have already dropped the initial charges to my card and I hopefully will never hear from them again.
