Phonecards Ripoff

I bought their phonecard called "monster". It says that it has local toll-free access, but when you dial the local access numbers on the back, they are all disconnected. So you are FORCED to use the 800 number. The thing is that using the toll-free acces number takes away an additional amount from your card per minute. The amount that says in the back of the card is $0.01 but one of the several customer service representatives to whom I talked said it was $0.02. Maybe the extra amount you have to pay does not seem like much, but if you count that if your card usually lasted 100 minutes, when you call the toll-free access number the card is going to last 71 minutes.

I am very disapointed with their customer service too. I called and told them that when I dialed everyone of the 16 local access numbers in the back of the card, I got a message saying the line was disconnected. The first person I talked to said that the problem was my phone or the location I was dialing from (??). The others said that there was a technical problem with the lines and I needed to wait 2 hours for the lines to get back (that was 1 day ago). Other could not filed the report because I had to provide a Phonecard PIN number with some amount and I refused to scratch the pin of the new card I had, since I'm taking it back to the place I bought it. This thing of providing a PIN I really did not understand why, since the problem was the very first step of the process of using the card: dialing the local access number.

This company is counting that no one is going to notice their fraud. They are advertising a service they don't have and are taking a little bit from a lot of people, adding up to a huge amount.
