Hold your deposit for 10 days after return ripoff

I rented a pickup from the uhaul company. I was told I would be charged the $19.95 for the truck and I opted for insurance at $10.00. I was told at the time of rental that I would not be charged for mileage unless I went over 50 miles. That was not true and I was charged for mileage which ticked me off but I paid it with no problem.

The next morning I check on my bank account and uhaul has charged $80.00 against my account rather than the $41.15 for the truck charges. I called their office and was told they will keep that charge against my account for the next 7-10 business days. I was really mad at learning this and by this experience have learned

DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING YOU ARE TOLD BY UHAUL EMPLOYEES, EXPECT UHAUL TO HOLD YOUR DEPOSIT FOR 7-10 BUSINESS DAYS AFTER YOU RETURN THEIR EQUIPMENT. I have rented many uhauls both trucks and trailers and have never had this happen at any other time. I believe it may just be the Grant Rd Store in Tucson that may not understand how uhaul works or maybe they are just trying to cause discontent with uhaul by behaving in this manor it is hard to say. But buyer beware if you should go into this particular store that represents uhaul.
