Uhaul Moving and Storage
Uhaul's only 'guarantee' is that there will be problems if use them - UHaul truck rentals

We had an awful experience with UHaul. Sounds similar to others experiences. We attempted to rent their ubox, but the dimensions they give you online are not the interior dimensions so we couldn't use that. We had to get something set up and decided to go with 20' truck. We reserved 10 days in advance. Kept receiving emails that our reservation was being processed & basically that all was good. Comes to the day of the reservation, we receive a text stating where to pick up a truck (which was not the one we chose online). We call the place - they are CLOSED! How do you pick up a truck from a closed business? You don't! We called UHaul. After spending I can't remember how long on the phone, being passed around, being told we'd be given $50 off (never happened), etc... We are told there is a truck that 'might' be available at 4pm - 55 miles away. We based our move around UHaul's 'guarantee' reservation. There is nothing guaranteed about it. We lost our help. We lost addt'l day due to rainy weather the following day; and my husband misses out on a job interview set up for the following day (we moved out of state). UHaul literally screwed our entire move up. We finally ended up getting a truck, but it was a 26' foot truck. I asked about gas mileage as we planned for 20' truck - the customer service person states it is the same mileage. I'm here to tell you it is NOT and we spent way more on gas than we anticipated due to this. We also had problems with UHauls supposed month of free rental - they link us to a place that doesn't even offer it. We find this out after we drove the 850miles to our new destination. I complained to UHaul management at the Phoenix, AZ office - they offer $75 towards future use of their goods/services. What a JOKE! I will NEVER use UHaul again. We want our money refunded. This was a complete nightmare with them!!!
