National Subscriptions
Fund-Raising through National Subscriptions, Inc. Is a Scam riopff

Shops, Products, Services

Back in October 2 teenagers came to my door selling magazine or book subscriptions. They told me they lived in the neighborhood a few streets over and that they were trying to raise funds for their High School softball team to go to the championship, in another state and by selling these, they would be able to raise enough money for the bus fair, etc... They were very courteous and very believable.

I looked through what they had to offer and picked the Web's Medical/Health Encyclopedia and paid them $38.00 for this.

They tried to get me to buy 2 items so that they could each get credit, but I did not. They then asked if they could have a glass of water, which I gave to them and They continued to talk about things in general. She asked for a return label that had my address and named printed on it, so she didn't have to write all the information down on the receipt and then gave me a receipt that said, Label on my part, were the name & address was suppose to go and the item I ordered and the amount. She also had scribbled on it THANK YOU over the part that said, this is not a fund-raiser and that I would receive my item or items in 120 days.

Well here it is August 6 and still nothing. I called the company and left messages and of course no one has returned my calls. I have done some research on this company and found out that they are not only listed as Nationwide Subscription, they are also, Extreme Marketing and United Family Circulation, Inc.

I have several phone numbers for this company, which are 770-831-7722,770-831-7733,770-831-7002,770-831-7050, & 770-831-7030. Several of these numbers are always busy, and the ones you do get through, there is only a tape that directs you through the menus, but never a real live person to talk to.

So lets just chalk this one up to lesson learned, Never give money to door-to-door sales people unless you know exactly what you are getting and who they are representing!
